Our Berlin office is undergoing exciting expansion, and we are looking for a driven and passionate Video Game QA Test Lead. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in game testing, prior responsibilities as a Test Lead, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic gaming environment. This role reports directly to the Head of QA and offers a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our team's success. 

YOUR ROLE

• Engage in thorough gameplay and testing using both methodical and experimental approaches to uncover errors or broken elements, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of the game.
• Systematically record, archive, and analyze identified errors to facilitate efficient categorization and tracking for future reference and resolution.
• Conduct comprehensive test preparation, addressing methodological, software, and hardware aspects to ensure thorough readiness.
• Experiment with in-game settings and altered states to uncover additional errors, enhancing the overall testing process by pushing the boundaries of gameplay.
• Execute previously established playtesting methods on new versions of the game to systematically catalog remaining errors, ensuring a meticulous approach to quality assurance.
• Analyze all written content (LQA and FQA), including in-game text and menus, to verify quality, consistency, and clarity, ensuring an immersive and coherent player experience.
• Lead and mentor QA testers, providing training and supervision to uphold the highest standards of performance and quality throughout the testing process.
• Creating and controlling project budgets. Performing cost tracking analysis and ensuring purchase orders and invoices are issued on time.
• Collaborating with the client and vendors to deliver projects and requests end-to-end, from quotation to delivery.
• Work closely with internal teams, fostering open communication to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining an unwavering commitment to quality and client satisfaction.

Your profile

• Possess hands-on experience as a Game Tester, with a solid understanding of Test Lead responsibilities, ensuring a comprehensive grasp of quality assurance processes.
• Exhibit outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English, enabling effective collaboration and clear reporting within the team and to Internal Teams.
• Demonstrate robust problem-solving skills coupled with excellent organizational capabilities, allowing for efficient prioritization of tasks and resolution of issues throughout the testing process.
• Have a thorough understanding of the Testing Life Cycle, including various phases and methodologies, to ensure systematic and effective testing practices.
• Share a genuine enthusiasm for video games, driving motivation and commitment to delivering high-quality gaming experiences that resonate with players.
